Gauging voters' mood, Congressmen abstain from polls: Vibodh

Early Times Report

Rajouri, Nov 10: Reminding the Congress's recent debacle in the LokSabha elections when even it's stalwart- former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in RajyaSabhaGhulamNabi Azad and others lost the elections to BharatiyaJanta Party's (BJP's) candidate from Jammu and Ladakh regions, Advocate Vibodh Gupta, BJP State Vice President, today criticized the Congress leadership for distancing themselves from fighting Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir State.
Addressing a public meeting at Hartal village of Choudhary Nar area, Vibodh said that from the poll results of LokSabha and in other Congress ruling states, the party has already gauged the mood of the voters who have made their mind to keep the Congress and other allies away from the 'corridors of power' in J&K too.
It seems to be very unfortunate on the part of Congress that their bigwigs like GhulamNabi Azad and Prof. SaifuddinSoz are not contesting Assembly elections, as they do not have courage to face the anger of the people against them even after remaining in power for the last about twelve years, Vibodh said and added that there must be no excuse for those who after enjoying the 'perks of power' are not going to test their worth in this elections.
Speaking on the occasion, ex-Member Parliament and BJP's candidate from Rajouri constituency Ch. TalibHussain praised Prime Minister (PM) NarendraModi's visionary approach to bring the country out of the catastrophe which it has witnessed during past ten years when the UPA Government was in power at the Centre.
He reminded people regarding the policies which were framed and implemented by the then PM AtalBehari Vajpayee by keeping in mind the J&K State and now PM Modi is stepping into his shoes by carrying-forward the legacy to its logical conclusion.
