J&K flood aftermath, ATM's still non-functional | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 10 : The ATM service,of almost all banks remained affected after floods in the Kashmir valley, particularly in the summer capital, Srinagar. However, Jammu and Kashmir Bank has made operational maximum ATMs in the valley. All ATMs of different nationalised and private banks became non-functional after devastating floods in September in the valley, including Srinagar. Bank business was also affected badly as buildings of major banks in the city were under 10 to 20 feet flood water. However, majority banks have started their business while some others have shifted to other places. The majority ATMs remained affected in the city badly affecting the customers. However, the banks have now started mobile ATM service in the city. The SBI, too, have started few ATMs in the city, where long queues of customers could be seen every time. Customers alleged that they have to visit from one place to another for ATM service. |
