Early Times Report

Bani, Nov 10: Residents of village Dhaggar today staged protest demonstration against coalition government and incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for his failure to ensure construction of road, telecommunication facilities in rural areas of Tehsil.
The protesters led by National Secular Forum (NSF) activists assembled at PanchyatGharDhaggar and staged demonstration, amid raising slogans against the concerned MLA.
Addressing protesters, NSF Provincial Vice-President VikramMadhyal said that the dozens of villages in Bani Tehsil including Dhaggar, Doulah, Dhuggan, Bhandar, Sandroon, Badhnota, and Dandighatu have no road facilities for decades. The poor peoples of said villages have to trek nearly 20 kilometers to fetch any commodity of daily use.
VikramMadhyal further said that it was very surprising that the PrahdanMantriGraminSadakYojna (PMGSY) scheme has not implemented in the villages. "It is the responsibility of concerned MLA to discuss matter with government and solve the problems but in Tehsil Bani, it is totally inverse and the MLA only considers innocent people as voters after they were in power and they forget the promise", said NSF activists.
"After winning the elections, the MLA never give any glimpse to the villagers and remained busy to accumulate more and more wealth, ignoring the masses", they criticized.
VikramMadhyal further said that the poor services of government owned telecom provider Bharat Sanchar Nigham Limited (BSNL) and other private services providers, continued to haunt the people of Dhuggar and their adjoining villages since last many months, causing lot of inconvenience.
"I have received billing massages from BSNL exactly in time for my two Wimax connections--- but the services are suspended for the last three months and I did not understand that why should I pay the rent for the service when same was suspended in the District for last three months" said another protester.
They demanded construction of road for the villages and also to ensure proper telecommunication services in the area. Among those who were present in the protest included, Hans raj Chairman Bani Tehsil, KartarPakhru President Bani unit, BittuRajwal, GulshanBhagat, SandeepGhrati, RakeshOdian, ChanchalGhrati, NittyBhagat, Hem raj, ShoriMadhyal, Kewal Kumar, YeshpulGhrati, Shakti Kumar and others.
