Early Times Report
KATRA, Nov 10: Appealing the masses to support Congress in the upcoming Assembly polls, the contesting candidate of the party from Reasi segment Jugal Kishore Sharma said that only Congress can ensure overall development of the Constituency. On the occasion, hundreds of BJP and NC workers embraced the Congress fold in the presence of MLC and Congress candidate from ReasiJugal Kishore Sharma and senior Congress leader SardariLalDubey. While addressing series of public meetings at Seen Brahmana, Dhannu, Muttal and Sundrani near Katra, Congress leader Jugal Kishore said that Congress is always committed towards welfare of the people which was quite evident during his tenure as MLA and Minister from 2002 to 2008 when Reasi witnessed record progress in all sectors. He further said that the developmental works which took off when he was representing Reasi Assembly segment either got stalled completely or remained incomplete largely due to the lackluster and indifferent approach of the sitting MLA of Reasi. Sharma, while welcoming the new entrants into party fold said that the task ahead is uphill but the sincere efforts of all the Congress workers will ensure that things move on right track. While addressing the gatherings, SardariLalDubey said that the youth of Reasi has vowed to ensure victory of Jugal Kishore, who with his mass appeal is undisputed leader in the entire Reasi constituency. Speaking on the occasion, several new entrants said that impressed by the policies and initiatives of the Congress party in particular and Jugal Kishore's down to earth personality in general, they decided to join the Congress. The newcomers said that after joining the Congress they would spare no efforts to spread the developmental and nation building policies of the party to each and every nook and corner of Reasi.
