Kishtwar, Dec 12: Congress workers of Kishtwar today held a meeting under the leadership of Shamsher Singh Bhandari and expressed concern over the abandoning of work on Rattle project making hundreds of youth jobless.
The meeting demanded immediate restoration of work on the project. It urged the Union Power Minister to intervene in the mater and pursue the constructing companies to resume the work.
The meeting also demanded that work on Pakal-Dool and Keeru-Karthai power projects be taken into hand to increase the power generation in the state as well as revenue generation in the area.
The meeting among others was addressed by Senior Vice President CITU Ajay Kumar Sharma, Senior Vice President CHHPU Nisar Ahmed Mir, Senior Trade Union leader Farooq Ahmed Tapal, Akshay Kumar, Tilak Raj Shan, Mohd Rafiq Butt and others. |
