Burglars make merry in Jammu as police take a nap | | | Mohd Irfan
Jammu, Dec 12: Police inaction, people believe has encouraged thieves in the city of temples. The irony is that the police especially the Peer Mitha police station have miserably failed in tracing out he persons responsible for thefts and robberies for the past two years. The people accuse the police of double standards. While thefts in high profile homes were investigated, the lesser mortals have been going from pillar to post without results. Interestingly the Chief minister's residence falls in the jurisdiction of the police station and galaxy of ministers and VIPs live in the area. The security in the area, therefore should have been foolproof, said a resident adding the police have not been taking the problem seriously. Talking to Early Times , SHO Peer Mitha Mashkoor Giri admitted burglaries during the past two years. We are at it and expect positive results. Finger prints have been taken and the same have been sent for analysis," he said. |
