Waffa appeals people to support PDP in ensuing Assembly elections 12/12/2014 11:35:58 PM Early Times Report NAGROTA, Dec 12 : Criticizing present coalition government failing to develop and uplift the farflung and backward areas of Nagrota, PDP State Secretary and contesting candidate from Nagrota constituency, Choudhary Hussain Ali Waffa asked people of the area to teach them a lesson in the forthcoming Assembly elections. While addressing a series of public meeting in Nagrota constituency, Waffa said the present government has failed to provide basic amenities to the people of the area. He said the people of Nagrota constituency have been suffering for the basic amenities related to power, water, roads etc. Seeking support of the people to establish a new system of justice and good governance in the State, Waffa said that change is imminent in the State as it was proved in the Parliamentary elections. He claimed that Lok Sabha elections are clear indications that PDP is going to form next government in the State. He emphasized that PDP has emerged a strong voice of the people of J & K and it has been proved in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. Waffa urged the people to give PDP a chance to serve them on the strength of its performance during its brief tenure in the government between 2002 and 2005 and its visionary agenda under the leadership of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. He said until now people have been supporting the ruling parties by given them majority in the Assembly but in return they only brought disgrace to the people and compromised the state's interests. He said the PDP has now become a pan Jammu and Kashmir Party by way of its pro-people agenda, credibility of its leadership, clean politics, vision, programmes and policies and it understands well what the problems of this state are and how they can be addressed democratically.
