JKTF to stage protest against HRD Ministry on Dec 17 | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: A high level meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) was held at Jammu under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani President EJAC/Chairman Teachers Forum. In the meeting all the office bears of JK Teachers forum took a serious note of Nonpayment of salary to SSA/RMSA teachers, Masters and Headmasters for the last six months besides repeated assurance and commitments by authorities of Education department from time to time. President EJAC/Chairman Teachers Forum apprised the House that the department had promised that salaries will be released before 30th of November 2014 and Teachers Forum suspended their strike till 1st of December as a goodwill gesture but it is very unfortunate that State Government has not released even their own State share of Rs 1.32 Corers yet and the Centre Government has released only 326.28 corers out of approved salary of Rs 1201.17 corers and Rs. 874.79 corers are still pending with HRD Ministry. This is absolutely the breach of trust from the concerned authorities which compelled us to gare-up our units for result oriented struggle against the Non seriousness and anti teacher’s policy of the HRD Ministry at Delhi and State Government especially with the teachers of the J&K state. The delay in the salary of teachers of J&K state has put teachers along with their families in a great trouble and trauma which is absolutely violation of labour and human laws. The top brass of the teachers Forum has decided to protest alongwith thousands of teachers at press club Jammu on 17th of December at 12:00 noon and on the same day black flags will be hosted at all educational institution as the mark of protect and the responsibility will lie on the Government. |
