Jammu, Feb 12: The NSS Units 1 & 2 of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organized a guest lecture on Gandhian Philosophy to kick start the NSS 10 days winter camp here today.
S.P. Varma, President of Gandhi Global Family, who was chief guest and resource person on the occasion, spoke at length on the Gandhian Philosophy of life. Principal of the college, Dr. Kiran Bakshi, who presided over the function, appreciated the efforts of Varma in promoting Gandhian values which are so relevant in all societies in the world today.
Earlier, NSS Programme Officer of NSS Unit 1, Dr. Shiveta Gandotra, introduced the audience about the programme. NSS volunteers conducted the proceeding of programme whereas Prof. Shrotika Rajput, Programme Officer of NSS Unit 2, presented vote of thanks.
Later, a group of NSS Volunteers led by Dr. Ashaq Malik visited the "Seeds of Hope" exhibition being organized by Soka Gakkai International at Kala Kendra in Jammu. |
