kathua, Feb 12: With the motive to eradicate the discrimination against the girl child besides a bid to encourage birth and education of girls, District Information Centre Kathua organized a symposium on the topic " Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" clubbed with theme based cultural program at DAV Collegiate School here at Kathua today.
CEO LSDA Dr. Bharat Bhushan was the chief guest, Principal of the School, Bishan Bharti member school managing committee, officials of Information Department, school staff and students of the school were present.
The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest. As many as ten students of the school participated in the symposium. The participants through light on the topic " Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao"
Later Chief Guest gave away certificates and trophies among the students. Aryan Sharma stood first, Divyam Sharma bagged 2nd position and Chitesh Mahotra third position in the symposium.
Later, Vote of thanks was presented by District Information Officer Kathua Indu Jamwal.
