UDHAMPUR, Feb 12: ASHA Workers Union Majaalta today held meeting here at PHC Majalta in which they highlights demands. According to press release, Sham Prasad Kesar Senior leader of CITU said that the state, union government was not serious to concede the already accepted demands of the ASHA workers like Assured incentive of Rs. 1000 per month w.e.f April 2014, minimum wages of Rs. 15000 per month, regularization as Health workers, social security benefits like pension, gratuity, maternity benefits be covered in Aam Admi Bima Yojna, rest rooms, uniforms, washing allowance, Id cards, bus passes, incentives be paid in time, promoted as ANMs after training, end to humiliating behavior by the staff. Meanwhile, union members decided to hand over a memorandum to J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare through State Government and also to participate in March to Parliament. Among others who participated in the programme include Kanta Devi, Vimla Devi, Satya Devi, Veena Devi.
