PIL over irregularities in implementation of National Mission on Saffron disposed off

Jammu, Feb 12 : In a public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Ravinder Shan and other regarding irregularities committed in the implementation of National Mission on Saffron, a Division Bench (DB) of state High Court Comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat observed allegation of petitioners has been examined in the light of the record and its has been found that no irregularity has been committed by the implementing agency and thus petition is disposed off.
After hearing Advocate Rajeshwari Katoch for the PIL whereas AAG HA Siddiqui appearing for the state observed a status report has been filed by respondent Nos. 1 to 3, wherein it has been stated that the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar constituted a committee of three officials vide order dated 04/12/2014 and the said enquiry committee conducted a preliminary enquiry into the implementation of scheme and submitted the same to the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar which later was to the Commissioner/Secretary to Govt Agriculture Production Department on 05/01/2015. "In so far as the allegation about misappropriation is denied by stating that with reference to the allegation of petitioners the matter has been examined in the light of the record and its has been found that no irregularity has been committed by the implementing agency, the Division Bench said and further observed if the petitioners are still not satisfied with the reply, they may approach the authorities concerned for taking criminal action against the concerned officer(s)/official(s).
With such liberty, this petition is disposed of. Division Bench also directed Commissioner/Secretary to Govt, Agriculture Production Department to consider the report of the committee forwarded by the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar and arrive at a decision within a period of four weeks.(JNF)
