kisthwar, Feb 12: Kishtwar police today claimed to have arrested an absconder who has been evading his arrest since last 23 years in a theft case. Soon after his arrest the accused was produced in the court of law for further legal action.
Police said, "The absconder has been identified namely as Qasim s/o Sanya Gujjar resident of Bhunzwah."
While talking to "Early Times" a senior police officer in Kishtwar said that on the basis of specific input, police party from police Kishtwar led by in charge SHO Nayeem-ul- Haq Mattoo laid a nakka outside Kishtwar court and arrested him. "A local court already has issued warrant U/S 512 CrPc against the accused wanted for allege involvement in case FIR 88/1992 u/s 457/380, police official said.He added that after arresting the absconder, police produced him in the court which sent the accused to judicial custody. |
