 KATHUA, Feb 12: The State Excise Department team, led by Sub Inspector, Surinder Singh Bagal today caught hold of a tax evader and imposed a penalty of Rs 30,000 at Lakhanpur check point, here today.
The accused with eight bags of tobacco/ gutka made an abortive attempt to enter the state through an alternate route. However, the Excise Department team comprising Sub Inspector , Surinder Singh, CTO, Gurvinder Sing and Kuldeep Kumar chased the vehicle, carrying the bags, and caught hold of the accused with all the eight bags. |
