Jammu, Feb 12 : Training program on agriculture commodity trading was organised at Aghar Ballian by NABCONS, a unit of NABARD here today.
According to press release, DDM NABARD Aarshi Sharma, Dr Haroon Tech Officer Animal Husbandry, Ajay kapoor Director Sharekhan Jammu, Jagdish Sericulture Dept. were present on occasion.
Sharma briefed that under Dairy Entrepreneurship Development program, individuals can avail loan and get back ended subsidy. Also need for Women's financial security was urged. For that, women should form Self Help Groups and start some economic activity to earn livelihood.
Kapoor started with issues faced by Indian agriculture.
Main problems faced by farmers are low price realisation, market uncertainties and climate variation.
Dr Haroon spoke about animal diseases and artificial insemination of cattle. Jagdish detailed villagers about various subsidy schemes of sericulture deptt and procedure to avail them. |
