Symposium on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao organized 2/20/2015 10:26:25 PM Early Times Report Hiranagar, Feb.20: Directorate of Field Publicity under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting today organized a symposium on 'Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao' to proceed with the scheme launched by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi few days back. An impressive programme was held in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Hiranagar where Dr BB Sharma, Programme Manager, NRHM J&K, Dr Rajinder Chopra District Programme Manager NRHM, Kathua were the main guests on the ocassion. Dhanetar Singh Principal of the school, Students and Anganwari workers were present and threw light on the declination of female sex ratio. Sayeda Parveen, CDPO Hiranagar and resource person said declination in sex ratio is alarming bell for society that needs immediate control. She sought awareness among the part of public to save and promote Girls' child for the proper development of the country. She said no country can develop without the contribution of women so people must be aware about the declination in Female sex Ratio. N. Gulshan Raina, Programme Head DFP J&K said Union government has launched Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao' scheme in 100 selected district where female sex ratio is at lowest point. He informed to select 5 districts in J&K namely Kathua, Jammu from Jammu province and Budgam, Anantnag and Pulwama from Kashmir Division.
