3 months RI, fine in molestation case 2/20/2015 11:17:31 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 20 : CJM Jammu Mr. SC Katal has decided a case after 15 years and convicted to Rattan Lal and awarded three months conviction and fine Rs 1000/- in molestation case. According to the case, the prosecutrix lodged an oral report at police post Phallian Madal stating that on July 7, 200 she had gone to her parental house and in the evening she was returning to her home around 6:30 PM and she reached Gursai Chak and saw Rattan Lal standing at public path who obstructed her in the pathway and caught her both breast and started beating her. On this police registered a case and after completion of the investigation presented challan in the court. CJM Jammu SC Katal after hearing CPO Jawaid Khawaja appearing for the state held that the accused person is held guilty for the commission of offence u/s 354 RPC and further observed that the offence has been committed against women, therefore, accused is not entitled for benefit under probation of offenders act and awarded three months rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 1000/-.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
