Delegation of Pvt schools management calls Addll Secy, Education 2/20/2015 11:41:25 PM Jammu, Feb 20 : A delegation of central executive body of Private Schools led by its President Kamal Gupta met with the Ahmad Farooq Dar Additional Secretary ,Education Department Civil Secretariat Jammu and apprised him of the problems being faced by the private schools. During the meeting Kamal Gupta and other members briefed that various demands have brought in the notice of Govt. by presenting a memorandum on January 12, 2015. He said Govt of J&K enforced SRO 123 on March 18, 2010 and all private schools functioning up to class 12th were deprived of recognition with enforcement of SRO by the Govt forcing them to knock the door of High court regarding SRO 123 which later was stayed vide CMA No. 1020/14 in OWP 737/14. The delegation urged to the Additional Secretary, Education Department to dispose of all the files by granting recognition on the basis of affiliation on the basis of previous SRO 259. Delegations demandeda that pick & choose policy for the recognition should be stopped besides putting a plug on mushrooming of Private schools and schools running without permission/ recognition or running additional classes without providing due infrastructure should be closed.
