Six houses gutted in two separate incidents | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Feb 20: Six residential houses gutted in two different fire incidents in Padyarna of Kishtwar District and Chilli Pingal area of Gundow in Doda District. As per the details available with "Early times", the fire started in the house of Devi Chand son of Mohar Singh resident of Chandana Padyarna during last intervening night and it engulfed whole house alongwith cattle shed in which seven cows and two Yaks also got perished. Sources said, however there are no reports of loss of human life till date. "The incident took place at around2.30 am on Thursday night due to fire furnace present inside the house to protect themselves from ongoing cold weather, they added. "Yet in a similar fire incident the five houses gutted in Gandoh of Doda District, sources said. After getting information about fire incident, the local people also rushed to the spot and joined rescue operation along with the local administration being monitored by Tehsildar Jony Kumar. As per sources houses gutted belonged to one Mohammad Shafi Dar, Din Mohammad Dar, Arif Hussain Dar, Ghulam Qadir Dar and Javed Ahmed Dar. Police have registered cases in both the cases and have started further investigations. |
