Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 20: Official work remained suspended in High Court of Jammu and Kashmir along with other courts after the lawyers suspended their usual work following alleged misconduct with a senior advocate M S Puri by chairperson of the J&K Special Tribunal Court here today. Protesting lawyers led by President BAR Association, MK Bharadwaj amid slogans against the alleged misconduct meted out to the senior advocate MS Puri boycotted all work in all the courts. Later they staged protest of the office of Chairperson of the J&K Special Tribunal to register their protest against alleged misbehavior. Meanwhile BAR association President while talking to media persons said keeping in view of the problems of litigants visiting the courts, the association has decided to suspend the call of strike on Saturday in other court but they will boycott J&K Special Tribunal Court to register their protest. Among prominent who also participated in this protest were, BAR Association Vice President Sindhu Sharma, Senior Advocate K S Puri, Zia-ul-Haq, Harjinder Anil Sharma, Young Lawyers Association, President Daljeet Manhas, Young Lawyers Association Vice President, Pardeep Majotra, Leena Devi and Ritu Sharma. |
