Anil Gupta awarded with black belt 1st DAN

Jammu, Mar 16: Anil Gupta, Chairman Amateur Karate Do association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK) awarded with black belt 1st DAN by General Secretary, Karate Association of India (KAI) Bharat Sharma, who himself is 7th Dan black belt from world Karate Federation (WKF) and recently appointed as member of WKF Refree Council.
According to press release, function organised by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK) at Hotel Ashoka, the black belt was awarded to Anil Gupta for his contributiion to the sport of karate for the last consecutive three years as chairman of Association in J&K. During this period State Karatekas excelled at National and International level and brought laurels for the State in the Sport of Karate.
This is popularity and good-will earned by Gupta in the Federation that General Secretary of the Federation Bharat Sharma himself came to Jammu to award him black belt.
On the occasion, Bharat Sharma congratulated Anil Gupta for his achievement and also appreciated efforts made by him to uplift sports of Karate in J&K and also raising standard of this sport to the International level in J&K.
While expressing gratitude for the honour from KAI, Anil Gupta said, "I will continue to extend my full support to the sport of karate in J&K. He said that he very well lunderstands the desire of sportsmen and their needs and expectaions. He promised that he will strive to fulfill the expectations of the sportsmen. He further said Continous efforts to promote game of karate has given us the players like Ambedkar Gupta who earned fame at National and International level for his achievements. Anil Gupta added that sports is a very big industry for generatiing self-employment to a lot of people and also enhances tourism by organising national and International events in State which inturn generates revernue for the State.
