New Delhi, Mar 16: One of the most eligible bachelors of the Indian cricket team, Suresh Raina is ready to spring a huge surprise on his fans. After his smashing century against Zimbabwe in the ongoing Cricket World Cup, the cricketer is looking to seal another match.
According to reliable sources, Raina will be tying the knot early next month in Delhi. "The World Cup final is on March 29 and the Indian cricket team is returning to India the next day. So, accordingly, Raina's bachelor's party will be held on April 1. The date for all the other ceremonies has been fixed as April 3. The engagement will take place in the morning of April 3 and the marriage, the same evening at a prominent hotel in Delhi," informs a source close to the player.
We have learnt that the bride is Priyanka Choudhary, a Meerut girl, who is the daughter of a close friend of Raina's mother. Priyanka is currently working in The Netherlands. Raina and his would-be bride were friends as kids, but with the girl's family moving to Punjab, the two lost touch. But a couple of years ago the families got in touch again and sparks flew between the two and soon, talks of marriage began between both the families. And with Raina agreeing to the alliance, he has broken many a heart and quelled all doubts of his going steady with any Bollywood actress.
Earlier, the marriage was supposed to take place on April 8, but with the IPL scheduled to start on the same day, the wedding was preponed, informs our source. The invitation cards have already been sent out to Raina's teammates and close friends.
