Jammu, Mar 16: Government Gandhi Memorial Science College Jammu in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family organized district level symposium in the College campus today. The topic of the symposium was "Truth and Non Violence". According to press release, students from thirteen Government Degree Colleges of Jammu and Samba district participated in this event. Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Singh, Nodal Principal, Jammu Division Colleges, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Manish Joshi, Malvika Kalra and Dr. Tarun Singh, the representatives from Gandhi Global Family were the observers for the event. Prof. Rita Bhagat, Principal, Prof. Vijay Kumar, and Dr. Tarun Singh acted as judges in the symposium. Prof. Ramneek Kour, convener welcomed the guests. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Singh stressed upon the need to follow the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi. He also called upon the youth to imbibe the Gandhian values as they have become more relevant in today's materialistic and violent world. Dr. Tarun Singh, from Gandhi Global Family also spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of G.G.M. Science College for successfully organizing the event. The symposium was attended by a large number of students and faculty members from various colleges of Jammu District. The members of organizing committee Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh , Prof. (Dr.) Sandhya Sankhydhar and Prof. Shalini Rana, and Prof. Neeraj were also present in the symposium. |
