Jammu, Mar 16: An awareness camp against the prevention from the deadly virus of swine flu was organised at Government Middle School Raipur. The camp was organized by members of Parivartan (NGO) alongwith the collaboration of Directorate of Indian System of Medicines. According to press release, the camp was inaugurated by the principal of school, Sudershan Kumar Sharma in presence of Medical officer (ISM) Dr Jatinder Kumar, Raipur. During the camp around 220 students including the staff members of middle school and people from the adjoining areas were examined and free medicines were provided to them. On the occasion, an awareness regarding the swine flu was created among the students as well as the other persons who attended the camp. They were asked to take necessary precautions to save themselves from this disease. Vijay Kumar Bhat, Pharmacist (ISM), members of the Parivartan, NGO including President Rajinder Singh, Vice President Vishal Targotra, Members Naresh Kumar, Joginder, Sahil Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Ashish Kapoor, an eminent social worker and Joginder Singh, in charge Girls Middle School rendered their services to the people. Chairman, Parivartan (NGO), Vikas Sharma expressed gratitude towards the Director ISM for supporting their NGO to organize such a camp, during which the awareness about the deadly virus was provided to the children as well as people. He said, "The main motive behind organizing this camp is to generate awareness among the students with regards to the precautions needed to be taken to keep Swine Flu at bay." Giving an overview of the symptoms of swine flu, he exhorted upon all to be careful with excessive sneeze, cough and fever, ultimately causing lung infection. He emphasized upon the need to maintain cleanliness, not only in one's home, but also in the surroundings. |
