JPPF celebrated 169th foundation day

Jammu, Mar 16: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) celebrated 169th foundation/raising day of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday under the President ship of Pavitar Singh Retd session Judge by paying floral tributes to Maharaja Gulab Singh.
"Raja Gulab Singh signed the Treaty of Lahore on 9th March 1946 and Treaty of Amritsar on 16th March 1846 and was recognized as absolute Ruler and Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir by the Treaty of Amritsar. Hence the vast landmass of Jammu and Kashmir came into existence as an empire on 16th March 1846," informed Working President of the Forum M.S.Katoch.
JPPF appealed to every citizen as well as organizations to come forward to celebrate 16th March every year as J&K State's Raising Day with full enthusiasm.
Katoch further added that real History of Jammu and Kashmir is disappeared and the govts deliberately destroyed the facts of J&K history and tried to put forth the wrong/misleading facts, this is a big failure of the Govt who did not preserve the golden history and the young generations are deprived of the facts.
Many personalities of Jammu witnessed the programme and prominent of them were Inderjeet Khajuria (Sr. Vice President JPPF), Gajan Singh Khajuria (Vice President JPPF), Kr Narayan Singh ( President Rajput Sabha), Avinash Bhatia (Organiser JPPF), M.L Sharma (Finance Secretary), Amrit Mangotra (Office Secretary JPPF), P.R Salathia (Adll Office Secretary JPPF), Rajeev Mahajan (Press Secretary JPPF), Kamla Sharma (President Home Guard), Balwinder Singh, Prof. B.L Bhardwaj, KK Proach (Retd Judge) beside others.
