Jammu, Mar 16: J&K People's Democratic Trade Union urged the Education Minister, Nayeem Akhter and Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi to regularise the 'Water-Woman' working in Government Schools of J&K since years together. According to press release, Jasmeet Singh Madaan, President, PDTU, said that every successive Govt. has put a deaf ear towards their regularisation issue and they are getting meagre amount of nearly Rs. 250-300 per year which means less than a rupee per day as a labour charges. It is highly ironical that this sheer discrimination is being meted out to these hapless women's over the years by successive Government and no MLA/MP has raised the issue of their regularisation on priority. "Every Govt talks of poverty alleviation, but when it comes to deliver - their Ministers remain busy in doing the job which put their empty pockets with corrupt money, " he alleged and adding with the coming of new PDP-BJP Government in the state and taking over the cudgels by Mufti Mohd. Sayeed, the hope of every poor has stirred now and PDTU expects a fair deal on this issue by Jenab Nayeem Akhter who is renowned for his thorough honesty and workmanship. |
