Jammu, Mar 16: Government vide its order number 365-GAD of 2015 today accorded sanction for the constitution of a state level apex committee for the implementation of Swach Bharat Mission in the state. Chief Secretary will be the chairman of the committee whereas the administrative Secretary, Planning & Development Department, Administrative Secretary, Finance department, Administrative Secretary, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, Administrative Secretary, Housing and Urban development Department, Administrative Secretary, Information Department, Administrative Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, Mission Director, Director Rural Sanitation, J&K, Commissioner Secretaries of SMC, JMC besides Director Local Bodies Jammu and Director Local bodies Kashmir will be the members of the committee. The terms of reference of the committee shall be to aid and advise the State Mission, approve annual implementation plans; approve appropriate staff structure for the Mission as per guidelines; approve the engagement of consultants/specialists & and other persons required under the guidelines; approve incentives for the Gram Panchayats and work force at the Gram Panchayat Level or Urban Local Bodies Levec and; authorize any action or proposal relevant to the successful implementation of the Mission Programme in the State. The order further reads that the committee shall be serviced by the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and the Housing & Urban Development Department. |
