Ramban, Feb 3: Five persons were injured when a Srinagar bound truck (JK01K-7043) carrying the sheep and goats turned turtle on the highway (NH44) at Seri in Ramban this morning. According to police sources, five persons were injured and at least 4 cattle also died in the mishap. "The injured were identified as the driver Bashir Ahmed of Nowshera, Wazir Ahmed of Soura,Abdul Ahad of Lal Bazar, Showkat Ahmed of Nowshera and Mohd.Iqbal of Quazigund in Kashmir, sources said. Soon after the accident the police and army launched a rescue operation and evacuated the injured to local Hospital from where two of injured were referred to the SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for specialized treatment. |
