JKRCEA delegation meets Azad

JAMMU, Feb 3: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA) today called on Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and submitted a memorandum regarding restoration of reservation in promotion. Led by its President Dr Sanjay Bhasin, the delegation apprised Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad about the situation developed due to recent blanket ban on reservation in promotion in J&K state.
The delegation requested Azad to instruct Congress legislators to support their cause as and when the popular government will be formed in the state. However, in the meanwhile, in order to safeguard the interests of more than 60% population of state and in order to prevent any kind of damage particularly to the employees of Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Resident of Backward Areas (RBA) and Actual Line of Control (ALC) categories, the delegation urged Azad to take up the matter with the Governor.
