MVD challans 38 vehicles, realizes Rs 9400/- as fine | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Feb 3: Thirty eight vehicles were challaned and fine to the tune of Rs 9400 was realized during a drive launched by the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), Kathua here on Wednesday. According to official spokesperson, the drive was launched on basis of the complaints of violation of MVD norms by the vehicles plying in Kathua. "The sleuths from MVD under the supervision of Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kathua Amarjeet Singh drive launched a drive and challaned thirty eight vehicles indulging busses, cars and two wheeler for using pressure horns, plying vehicles without HSRP Plates and other offences, he said. "Pressure horns were physically removed and destroyed on spot," said RTO Kathua, further adding, "the warning too has been served to the drivers for using pressure horns in future." The MVD team comprised of ARTO Neeraj Sharma, MVIs Rajeev Kundal and Kamal Kumar. |
