JK Speaker felicitates Rama Kant Dubey, 4 human right activists | NHRSJC, JKIPRS organises seminar | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 3: National Human Rights Social Justice Council, State unit, Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with J&K State Integration & Public Relations Society organised a seminar on "Safeguarding Human Rights Through Public Relations" today at Press Club Jammu. JK Assembly Speaker was the Chief Guest who honoured Rama Kant Dubey, (a renowned social personality) with "Life Time Achievement Award" for his selfless services for the last over 50 years. Speaker also felicitated four human right activists for their selfless services which include Tarika Mahajan (District Secretary, NHRSJC ), Sohan Lal, Bashir Ahmed Magrey and prominent Dogri poet Randir Singh Raipuria. JK Assembly Speaker while speaking on the occasion laid emphasis on the need of safeguard human rights as a basic necessity to protect the mankind and appreciated the dedicated social work of Rama Kant Dubey. Earlier welcome address was given by Anil Padha, Chairman JKIPRS who highlighted the main issues pertaining to the public relations and the role of society in protecting the human rights of each and every person in the civil society. M.I Zargar, Executive Director of NHRSJC, J&K Unit gave a brief background of violations of Human Rights in PoK and West Pak Refugees, besides Kashmiri Pandits migrants and other cases. Dinesh Gupta, Chairman Citizen Co-Op Bank Ltd Jammu was the Guest of the Honour. Vote of thanks was presented by V.K Parimoo, Jt Secretary NHRSJC and stage was conducted by Vijay Singh Rana Secretary JKIPRS. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Sudhir Katyal, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta,, General Manager, Citizen's Co-Op Bank Ltd, O.P Bakshi, Girish Raiza and O.P Sharma. |
