'Ailing' separatists prefer elite Indian hospitals
5/2/2016 11:49:22 PM

Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 2: Separatist leaders leave no stone unturned to spew venom against India but they prefer elite Indian hospitals for their treatment.
Hardliner leader and chairman of his own Hurriyat faction Syed Ali Shah Geelani reached Kashmir recently after spending winter in Delhi to get specialized treatment from Max Hospital.
On Monday, another separatist leader Yasin Malik reached Delhi to get treatment to his diseases from Fortis Hospital of Vasant Kunj.
Before flying over to Delhi, Malik had been recently admitted at private multispecialty Florence Hospital at Chanapora, Srinagar.
To get public sympathy and in a way a license to go for elite class health treatment at Delhi, close associates of Malik in public rumoured that Malik has been losing weight, feeling tired from last some months and doctors termed it as worrisome.
When at a time premier health institutes of Kashmir are equipped with all the ultra modern health facilities, separatist leaders rumored that doctors advised them to take Malik to Delhi to go through some medical examinations as soon as possible while justifying that majority of these examinations were possible only in Delhi.
Malik according to sources was already in Delhi since April 26 and was under treatment at Fortis Hospital and he reached Srinagar on the same day when his associate at Pakistan Amanullah Khan died in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
After spending five days in Kashmir he left for Delhi again this morning and straightaway went to Fortis Hospital.
Separatists in Kashmir never talk of developmental activities which include upgrading health sector to pave way for specialized treatment in government run hospitals for common masses.
In many circles of Kashmir society separatist leaders are hated for creating hurdles in the developmental works executed by successive governments by frequently calling shut downs.
They are also disliked for supporting mainstream political parties from behind the curtain for their personal gains and befooling common masses in the name of election boycott.
People exposed to the worldly affairs contradict with separatist leaders for their double speak as separatists on one hand spew venom against Indian establishment in Kashmir and on the other hand enjoy all the luxuries of India.
They get passports to travel across the globe under security cover and free health treatments while in home and an opportunity to get specialized treatments from elite class hospitals of India while they remain outside Kashmir.
