Encouraged by a positive statement of the Election Commission and not in any mood to relent or wait for the next government, the associations of employees, including KAS officers, have literally announced to lock horns with government to press for immediate redress of their issues.
The Joint Consultative Committee of the employees of all cadres, excluding All India Services, have been pressing for enhancement in their retirement age from 58 to 60 years and implementation of the recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission. Actively supported and inspired by the KAS officers association, the Joint Consultative Committee has called for pen down strike on November 20. “We want to convey to the State Government and Election Commission that we are one and we want our demands met”, said a spokesman of JCC.

Jammu, Nov 15: A trooper of Central Reserve Police Force was today shifted to the Government Medical College here after he survived an attack on his life by a colleague in a city hotel.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Havaldar Somnath Dubey who allegedly slit the throat of Jawan Rajudhar in room of a hotel known as Shanker Hotel in the City last night. Raju, who survived the attack, however, alleges that his senior officer hatched a conspiracy against him Depubey was assigned to execute his ‘murder’.
