Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 7: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has said the State's democratic and civil society institutions must get actively involved in the Kashmir resolution process to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region. Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 7: Morning fog added to the difficulties of Valleyites Saturday as water-logging following late Thursday evening snowfall continued to hinder normal life in most parts of the Valley. Meanwhile, the 300km Srinagar-Jammu highway—arterial link connecting valley with rest of the world—was opened for two-way traffic, official sources said. Poor visibility due to dense fog halted normal life with motorists keeping headlights of their vehicles on to ply on streets across the valley for better part of the morning. Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 7: The Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today said that reconstruction of the sunk road stretch between Assar and Doda has going on war-footing adding that there was no shortage of essentials in Doda and Kishtwar districts. Talking with media persons on the sidelines of the Red Cross Mela-cum-Raffle Draw here today, Abdullah said that he has ordered airlifting of essential commodities, medicines, if required and has kept a helicopter available round-the-clock for emergency. Nagpur, Feb 07: In a statement meant to target its core Hindu vote bank, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday vowed to rebuild the Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya. "Jahan tak Ram Janambhoomi ka sawal hai, koi ma ka lal bhagwan Ram me hamari aastha aur nishtha ko diga nahi sakta (No one can shake BJP's faith and reverence to Lord Ram)," party president Rajnath Singh said in his inaugural speech at the two-day National Council meeting that began today. New Delhi, Feb 07: The Congress on Saturday dubbed the BJP’s move to rake up the Ram Temple issue a political sham, saying the saffron party has no intention of building the temple. Reports of militants marrying on gunpoint Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 07: Militants in Jammu and Kashmir have been forcing young girls to get married to them at gun-point only to abandon them later. Such an instance came to light when sixteen-year-old Fatima Bi of Kishtwar district gathered courage to narrate her misfortune. Fatima said she was abducted by Sher Khan, the then divisional commander of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI), a Pakistan militant group four years ago. Sher Khan and his associates tortured Fatima for eight days until she gave in to their demands and agreed to marry Hashim, a HuJI worker.
