| Pilot anguished over sex episode | | | |
Bangalore, Aug 1: Apparently anguished over the recent sex slur on his brother-in-law and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Minister Sachin Pilot today said fight should be against policies and not individuals.
"Fight polices and ideologies, not individuals," Pilot told reporters here when asked to comment on the charges levelled against Omar by opposition PDP recently.
The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister had resigned from his post on Tuesday after PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh alleged that his name figured in the 2006 sex scandal.
His resignation was later rejected by the J and K Governor who said there was no truth over the allegations.

Jammu, Aug 1: Even as the state government continues to ask Center for more funds for infrastructure development, at least 13 centrally funded prestigious projects in Jammu and Kashmir are not only running behind schedule but have also reported cost escalation running beyond original cost old projects.
According to the details worked out by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, in Jammu and Kashmir, where 13 projects are delayed, the cost escalation is even more than the original cost of the projects – Rs 10,000 crore for projects worth Rs 8,132 crore.

Srinagar, Aug 1: Militants shot dead two securitymen and critically injured another, striking at two places in the heart of the city minutes before a district Congress convention was to begin at a local hotel.
The militants fired from a close range on the CRPF men deployed outside Pamposh Hotel, the venue of the meet, at around 11.25 am, critically wounding two of them, CRPF spokesman Prabhkar Tripathy said.
