Jammu, Sept 27: As the battleground of the ongoing electoral battle has shifted in the Hindu-majority Jammu region Congress changed its strategy, and leaders of the party started raking up pro-Jammu and pro-Dogra issues.
Change of pro-Jammu and pro-Dogra stance of the Congress party was witnessed today during a rally at Khour which was scheduled to be addressed by the Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Although Rahul Gandhi could not reach the spot due to bad weather, Congress leaders in the rally tried their best to rake up the pro-Jammu issue.
It was the first time during the election rallies of the Congress party that leaders from the stage vociferously shouted the “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogans.
Not only these slogans were shouted from the stage but the same were also responded to with full sound by the audience and enthusiasm.

A voter turnout of 57.31 percent was recorded in the second phase of polling in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission of India said on Friday.

As the festive season approaches, Indian Railways has decided to run nearly 6,000 special trains to help more than one crore passengers get home for Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals.

SRINAGAR, Sept 27: The higher reaches of Kashmir Valley experienced the season’s first snowfall while the plains were lashed by light to moderate rains, resulting in a drop in temperature, officials said.
The Sunshine Peak Affarwat, which is at an elevation of 2,650 meters above sea level, in the world-famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and the higher reaches of picturesque Sonamarg in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district received the season’s first snowfall on Friday, an independent weather observer, Faizan Arif, told a wire agency.
