ET Plus Report rajouri, Mar 14: Taking serious note of issuing question papers unsealed packets for the ensuing middle school examination from ZEO office, Thanamandi, Joint Director Education, on the direction of Director Education, today visited some schools and held meeting with the headmasters. After receiving the complaints, the Director rushed a team to the area for investigation. On Wednesday a team headed by Roshan Lal, HOD at DIET, visited some middle schools at Phangai and Thanamandi and after spot investigation they found the open envelopes of question papers of subjects that were supposed to be written today or tomorrow. The team members including AH Dar submitted their report to Joint Director along with proofs and recorded statements of the headmasters. The team found many irregularities including question papers in open packets, shortage of question papers despite the children were charged between Rs 10-15 as printing charges of question papers. Sources in the department also said that just before the visit of Joint Director the ZEO officials issued 'official khaki envelops 'to the headmasters to seal the question papers. Some supporters of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) sealed the question paper and some in their statements to the Joint Director and investigating team said that they were issued question papers in open packets. Under normal practices question paper is an confidential document and must be sealed at the printing place. "Joint Director has visited some schools in Thanamandi and also interacted with the headmasters and sarpanches of various villages." I have also submitted the inquiry report to verify the irregularities," said Saif Ali, officiating CEO, Rajouri. On Wednesday HA Parrey, Director Education had said that after the submission of report by the Joint Director, action will be taken against those found guilty. |
