Kishtwar, Mar 14: Roof top of an old and abandoned building of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kishtwar was gutted after the fire broke out in the building at around 12.30 PM today.
As soon as the incident took place, senior officials of administration, police, fire tender servicemen rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Locals alleged that the authorities left the building abandoned for criminal elements to carry out their activities. During the rescue operation, some bottles of alcohol were recovered from the two storey building complex. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
