Jammu, Mar 14: The Health Services have framed a major plan for upgrading patient related equipments, apparatus and other instruments, needed for not only diagnosing health problems of both outdoor and indoor patients but also treat their ailments, in medical colleges,and all associate hospitals and health centers in Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said that the Health Minister,Taj Mohiuddin,has been quite keen for making available all the instruments and gadgets in all the health centers. Sources said that there have been series of complaints from the indoor and outdoor patients about non availability of instruments, equipments and gadgets needed for treatment of various health problems and ailments.
Under the plan the Department has decided to procure more than two dozen sophisticated instruments and gadgets which were to be installed in various medical colleges and hospitals. Under the plan district hospitals and other health centers in the rural areas were to be covered so that patients needing simple diagnostic tests were not forced to visit big hospitals in the state's twin capitals.
