| Court denies bail to kidnapper of minors | | | et plus report
Jammu, Mar 14: Special Municipal Magistrate VS Bhou today rejected the bail application of Jaswant Singh of Kangra Himachal Pradesh and Rajinder Singh of Punjab who are allegedly involved kidnapping of two minor children. They had been arrested by the police on March 1 and March 4 respectively.
According to the police accused persons kidnapped two minor children namely Arjun and Gulshan and till date they have not been recovered. The Court after hearing.
Senior Prosecuting Officer Rohit Gupta appea-ring for the state and accused alongwith their counsel observed that minor children have not been recovered yet and investigation is at nascent stage.
The Court observed that plea of the defence counsel that accused were not involved in the case is not sustainable. Investigating agency has not been able to make any head way in the investigation yet, so, custodial interrogation of the accused are imperative ascertain the motive behind crime. With these observations Court rejected the bail applications of both the accused. (JNF)
