Vijaypur, Aug 21: The Congress leader and former Minister Manjit Singh Wednesday visited rain affected villages in his constituency and appealed Government to release relief in favour of the affected families.
During his visit, Singh met people of village Abtal in Vijaypur who have been spending nights under the sky after their houses collapsed due to heavy rains. The Congress leader said that as the houses have been damaged completely the people have been forced to live under the sky. "They are poor and landless people for which the Government should think and relief under natural calamity," he said, while interacting with the affected families. Those who were present included Deepak Choudhary, Rajinder Sharma, Bittu, Tona and Pinki. |
