Internal bickering in Congress
Taj, Mir, Syed may lose in 2014 elections

JAMMU, Aug 21: At a time when State Congress is fragmented in to chambers and many competitive members have already switched over to other political parties, senior Congress members believe that prevailing lobbyism within State Congress can wash away many previous winners, besides contesting elections at new constituencies would be a futile attempt.
Stating that groupism within State Congress which is now considered routine headline of Jammu and Kashmir news papers has its roots in New Delhi, one 40 year old senior Congress leader who holds a responsible position in the party informed Early times.
He said that groupism between the members of State Congress has its roots in New Delhi and followers of both staunch leaders of State Congress Ghulam Nabi Azad and Saif-ud-Din Soz know it better than anybody. The senior leader said that the exit of some prominent faces from the State Congress like Ishfaq Jabar of Ganderbal constituency and Abdul Majeed Padder of Noorabad constituency must serve as an eye opener for the party.
The senior member who recently was in news to defend the image of State Congress said that senior most members like him find no way in their almost last stage of political career as they feel ashamed to switch over to other parties and leave their decades year old party which has name and fame outside the Jammu and Kashmir but is a victim of lobbyism and favouritism here.
"It is really an astonishing fact that senior most members are sidelined in both the groups based on Azad Sahab and Soz Sahab and new comers are now issuing orders to old members to follow or leave the party" said the veteran leader.
He said that some staunch and competitive masters of State Congress who had previously earned name and fame which include Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Taj Mohi ud din and Peerzada Mohammad Syed as per his estimates are likely to get washed away in 2014 assembly elections as none of these leaders actually follow any of the groups of State Congress.
On pre -poll alliance between NC and State Congress , he said final decision has to come from New Delhi in this regard and the decision will be based on the choice of either of the two separate group leaders of State Congress that is Ghulam Nabi Azad and Saif ud din Soz.
