Baramulla , Aug 21: The members of Veer Wan Welfare Committee (VWWC) Baramulla which visited today Haal have condemned the stone pelting incident on quarters where employees appointed under PM's package were residing. In a press statement issued here, the committee said that it was an unfortunate incident which has shaken the whole of the employees working in valley and forced them time again to rethink their safety and workings in the valley. They also criticised the government for giving false assurances to employees regarding their security and remind them for bringing into their notice of such apprehensions earlier. Expressing concern over the false statements made by few government representatives in view of the incident, they said that many officials are hell bent to hide the real facts which may prove very fatal on one day. They warned such officials to desist from such activities, otherwise to face the music from the employees. "We meet ministers, different political parties and various administrative heads few months back and express them about various difficulties being faced by the employees since their appointment in valley," said president of the committee while maintaining that if the government would have acted upon their complaint such incident could not have occurred. |
