Kathua, Aug 21: A delegation of School Education Employees Co-ordination Committee (SEECC) led by its provincial president Amar Nath Thakur today met Chief Education Officer Kathua and submitted a memorandum for not adjusting the GPF amount deducted from their salaries for the year 2012-2013. During meeting, Thakur apprised CEO Kathua that GPF of 25 masters and 94 teachers working under SSA in zone Malhar has not been adjusted by the officials amounting Rs 25 Lakhs. Thakur has demanded DSE Jammu to take appropriate action against the officials responsible for misappropriating Rs.5 lakhs given to 10 upgraded PS to MS in zone Malhar during the year 2006-07 enquiry report of which had been submitted to DSE Jammu by principal DIET Basohli after conducting enquiry, on 21-09-2011 till then no action has been taken against the culprits by DSE Jammu this encouraged officials of ZEO Malhar to do this fraud. CEO gave patient hearing to the delegation and said that four members enquiry committee has been constituted to enquire the whole matter as and when committee submits the report action will be taken under rules against the culprits responsible for this fraud.
