Srinagar, August 21: (GNS) A 21-year-old girl (name withheld) from housing colony Ompora was found hanging at her home in Budgam district and a laborer was killed after hit by a landslide while he was working at an excavation site in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday. A police official told GNS that a girl Muneera (name changed) of Ompora, Budgam was found hanging inside her house. "The body was sent to police hospital for postmortem report and was later handed to her relatives for last rites," the official said, adding that Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.He also said that a laborer Mushtaq Ahmad Deedad (25) son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Khalidora, Achagosa, Pulwama came under the landslide while excavating soil in a quarry. "He died on spot," the official said, adding the body has been retrieved and was handed over to his relatives for last rites. |
