Jammu, Aug 21: Keeping in view the traditions of Raksha Bandan, the Jammu People Progressive Forum (JPPF) celebrated the festivity of auspicious occasion by organizing a function in which members irrespective to their caste creed and religion participated and got 'rakhies' tied.
Today's function presided over by Inderjit Khajuria Sr Vice President which was attended by prominent members of organization namely Avinash Bhatia, Amrit Mangotra, Rajiv Mahajan, Gulam Rasol Choudhary, Abdul Ghani Chowdhary, Sunita Sharma, Tasleem Kousar, Balwinder Kour, Jyoti Sharma, Veena Rathore, Nisha Sharma, Dali, Meeta Sharma, Zarina and others. Members belonging to all communities Hindu, Muslims and Sikhs and Christians participated as a mark of religious amity and brotherhood and the lady wing of JPPF comprising ladies irrespecrtive to religiosn and caste tied Rakhis to them and wished them long life and prosperity. The male members who got Rakhis also blessed the sisters and promised protection from all odds. They also shared sweets to celebrate and mark the occasion. |
