JAMMU, Sept 4: The young and energetic side of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV)-I Akhnoor shall be playing against KV Miran Sahib in the under-19 kho-kho final of the 44th KVS Regional Sports Meet at KV Bantalab, here tomorrow.
In the semifinals, played today, Akhnoor trounced fighting KV-2 Udhampur by a margin of six points while Miran Sahib outplayed KV Lakhanpur by a narrow margin of one point.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, played in the morning session, Akhnoor beat KV Chenani in district Udhampur by 15 points and KV Udhampur-2 defeated KV Pathankot by 17 points.
In other quarterfinals, KV Miran Sahib downed KV Sunjwan by a margin of nine points while KV Lakhanpur registered a seven points win over host KV Bantalab.
Now, the final and valedictory function of the three-day competition shall take place tomorrow morning at the same venue.
Today's matches were officiated by the technical penal including Anil Kumar, Palwinder Singh, Israr Khan, Ankush Gupta, Lakhvinder, Heena, Bindu and Gurvinder. |
