Akhnoor zone girls bag U-19 kho-kho title 9/4/2013 11:06:08 PM Sports Reporter JAMMU, Sept 4: Akhnoor zone girls clinched the kho-kho title beating Bishnah zone 09-05 in the inter-zone girls under-19 competitions of Jammu district, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here today. Earlier, in the semifinals, Akhnoor beat Khour zone by two points while Bishnah outplayed Satwari zone 07-04. In the kabaddi final, the combined side of RS Pura Zone and Miran Sahib zone beat Khour and Jourian zone 29-08 to bag the title. In the semifinals, the combined team of Khour and Jourian zone beat Bishnah zone 24-10 and R S Pura and Miran Sahib downed Akhnoor zone 39-21. Meanwhile, in girls' volleyball event only two teams turned up for the competition. Playing against each other, Akhnoor zone beat Bhalwal zone in straight sets of 25-18, 25-15.
