| Humming Buds organizes kids movie show | | | early times report
Jammu, Sept 4: A special screening of a famous children's movie 'Dunston checks in' was organized at Humming Buds, the ISO 9001-2008 certified pre-school chain of MIER, at both the BC and Residency Road branches. The movie was showcased as part of the topic-Holidays and enhanced their understanding of the concept of a Hotel.
Humming Buds strongly believes that life is not just about learning to read and write. It is also important to instill in children the spirit to explore and in this process become more curious about their environment.
The two-week unit unfolded with the children sharing their experiences of past family holidays and introducing them to different destinations that can be visited.
Also discussed with them were activities they indulge in while on a holiday.
The children had a hearty laugh watching how a chimpanzee in the movie goes around exploring a hotel and in the process doing various funny acts.Several fun activities related to the topic were also covered in the class like making a date fudge to carry for a picnic and packing their own suitcases which excited the kids the most.
Overall the activities spanning two weeks encouraged creative expression in children and they developed greater vocabulary, print awareness and understanding of the topic. |
