| Sewa-II Power Station organizes free Vaccination Camp | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 10: Sewa-II Power Station of NHPC located at Mashka (Jammu and Kashmir) organized a free vaccination camp at Govt. Girls High School, Bani (Jammu and Kashmir) on other day under its Corporate Social Responsibility - Sustainable Development (CSR-SD) scheme. Shri P.K. Langer, Chief Engineer - Incharge, Sewa-II Power Station graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the camp. S.K. Pandey C.E. (Civil), Sewa-II Power Station was also present in the camp. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Langer highlighted upon the welfare activities undertaken by NHPC under CSR for the benefit local inhabitants. The Sewa-II Power Station has taken up Typhoid Vaccine which is not covered under routine vaccination program in State Health program in order to render additional protection against diseases. The camp had also received support from the State Health Department. During the camp Typhoid vaccines were given free of cost to school children of Govt. Girls High school, Bani and Govt. Middle school, Bani and the cost of vaccines was borne entirely by NHPC. The camp benefitted 250 school children from Bani area. At the end of the camp Dr. Pulak Taraphdar, Sr. DCMO, Sewa-II Power Station extended his gratitude to the Health Department of J&K State and also to the school teachers and school children of Bani area for their active participation in the camp towards making it a big success. The local authorities and the school staff thanked NHPC for carrying out such free vaccination camps for the local people. |
